Mishawaka offers two, four, six and eight-week sessions. The two-week session is designed to be an introduction to residential camping for new campers. When possible, we recommend considering a four-week session. This allows campers to establish solid friendships, polish skills and take full advantage of tripping opportunities.
Only boys and girls of good moral character, eight-years-of-age and over, may become campers at Mishawaka. The management reserves the right to dismiss anyone whose influence and/or conduct become obnoxious or in any way threatens the best interests of other campers. In such cases, camp tuition will not be refunded.
Deposit Policy
A deposit of $500.00, which is applied toward tuition, is required with registration. Please refer to the application for refund policies.
Additional Expenses
A deposit to a spending account is recommended. Typical expenses vary according to a camper's program, age and interests. A deposit of $75 per week is suggested. An itemization of this account is sent home with either a bill or refund check at the end of the season.
The spending account covers expenses not included in tuition, such as:
- Extended camping trips
- Horseback riding
- Golf green fees
- Cash for the trip home
- Items purchased or rented at the camp store
Typical purchases include clothing, film, stationery, batteries, fishing tackle, toiletries, sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Rentals may include sleeping bags.
Parents are asked to deposit all spending money with the camp office as campers have no need for cash while at camp.
